looked on drivers side on the dash and couldnt find it. looked in drivers door jamb still nothing ?

someone rcovered the dash cover and when i took it off i didnt see a vin # under it, or rivetholes where there used to be one? that is where it is supposed to be right? the registration in the glovebox to the previous owner says its a 74. so does the sticker in the glovebox .

The vin plates on the 2 1975's and the 73 I have owned were all riveted to the B pillar in the drivers side door jam not to far from the door striker. None of them had plates on the dash like the later models I have owned.

my 75 has the vin on the dash and on the drivers side b-pillar sounds like someone messed with the truck dont know if its stock but my 75 has the vin also etched on the transfer case cross member i kinda thought that was a little wierd

74 should have the vin plate on the driver's door jamb (B pillar), on the trailing edge of the drivers door there should be a label with the vin. You already found the one on the sticker of the glove box.

The plate is the public vin on the door jamb. My 74 had it in these locations.

the one in the glovebox does it have the vin on it? only time i looked at it was to see what gears it had, when i bought it.

The one in the glove box should have the vin as well as the what ever options were originally on the truck.
