Ok I'm looking for a set of 46s for my truck. I was going to use 44" boggers but I have to use a 20" wheel with my brakes from USA6X6. So do I go with 46" Michelin XMLs or 46" Michelin XLs? I know both can be grooved. I'd be running them on either USA6x6 20x11 Double Beadlocks or Stazworks 20x12 Double Beadlocks. This truck will be used for mud, trails, and street use. Very few times will it encounter rocks. I just want to know which will perform the best and have the best characteristics.

I prefer the tread of the XML and I do believe they are wider than the XL. Having said that they are also heavier due to the extra width.

why not run IROKs. they come in a 20" wheel and are a lot lighter then the michelins. the michelins are meant to hold up a very heavy truck. they have a high ply rating and are stiff.

or these as another option.

because I need something in the 44-49 inch range. I haven't been able to find a cheap set of 49" Iroks yet and the 42s are too small. I would really rather have 47s or 49s but with 47s they don't come in a 20" wheel.

Also, the tires you just showed me are junk.

what makes them junk. similar tread pattern to a TSL but with siping. they make baja claws in a 46" for a 20" wheel too.

I was only offering alternatives since the michelins are so heavy and stiff.

yea u just changed the pic to the sts, and that tire is gonna be terrible in mud. They are only good on the street and in sand

:wink1: ya caught me. I realized later that I posted the wrong pics. you could groove them for the mud.

Yea I suppose that would work, being so wide u might just float on top of the mud
