Which alternator?

Getting ready to start the engine swap in my 77 K10. I have had some electrical gremlins for some time now, so while the motor is out, I'm gonna have someone come and go over my wiring and clean it up some. I already got a new battery and was thinking I should go ahead and replace the alternator as well.

I'm not running any special accessories -- just your basics: stereo, a couple of KC lights and a CB radio.

Do I need anything more than just a stock replacement? Any suggestions on what else I might need? Thanks

get the biggest thay offer in the reman line and life time warrenty. some stockers were only 60ish amps.

i have a a/z 100amp hd unit been good for 20k miles or so. full of mud and water still going.

I got a 140A from NAPA. $200 or so. Nice because it power everything easily and has a warranty.

I remember that guy signing on here with a random user name and pimpin his business as if though he was a cusomer who had a great experience.

Now I'm starting to wonder, Were his product not as advertised? I bought a 200 Amp CS-144 alternator from him and I really never tested it to see if it actually puts out 200 amps. So now you guys got me wondering...

yup, that was it....

It was definitely a couple years ago... A member had a bad experience with him and then he showed up in multiple personalities...
