I need hydrolic bell to do 465 swap I can't find one on 85-87 applications. If I found one in a 88-92 pick up with the 4 speed would that still work in my 88 jimmy Are all of the hydrolic bellhousings aluminum?

thanks

yeah hydro bellhousings are aluminum. I remember my friends talking about the slave on a 88+ being on the opposite side. That could easily be bull. If its on the right side it should work.

It is on the oppsite side but its also for the 5 speed tranny.

The older ones that you found should work fine.

465 was used in the 88+ body for at least one year, not all manual trucks '88+ were 5 speeds.

which side should the slave mount to the bell housing on for 85-87. I found one on a 89 that still had the 4 speed the slave on that mounted onto the driver side.

Could I still use this one? what difference does it make where it is at as long as it is there, Right or am I wrong?
