So I am about to upgrade to the bilstein 5125 shocks. I am getting them from Offroaddesign. Now i'm kinda confused on which ones to get. Does anyone have experience with these? I understand their charts, but I've heard bilsteins run longer so to speak. Currently my truck sits about 7" higher in front and 8" higher in rear and when I measure from top of axle tube to bottom of bump stop, that's right. But when I measure eye to eye on my shocks when extended, the Offroaddesign bilstein charts show my truck being lifted more:dunno:. any opinions appreciated on which length to get.

Send ord an email, I just finished instaling mine. If you tell them what your running for suspension they will set you up in my experience.

The static ride height isn't really that important. You need to know what range the suspension travels in. The absolute best thing is to cycle each corner from full stuff to full droop to get real measurements. If you can't come close to that, you can still do some math. First figure out where the bump stops should be set to keep the springs from wearing out too soon (the stock location is probably way too high). Then for droop, jack up from the frame or bumper to get the tire off the ground. Figure that in practice it can go an inch or two lower than that as the suspension unloads.

Do you have stock front shock mounts? If so, make sure that's what you really want before you spend money on shocks. You have enough lift that you might be able to get 12" travel shocks. You can probably get a set of Ford towers and run 14" travel.
