My '82 Stepside has a round tube bumper with big square brush guard and Ramsey Winch.

I also have a modified Warn Classic bumper that I've been considering swapping onto it instead.

Which do you think would look best on the stepside?

Tube bumper on it now:

Or the Warn bumper:

The tube bumper winch mount looks pretty specific to the Ramsey winch.

If I swap the Warn bumper onto the stepside, the tube bumper and Ramsey winch with the big square brush guard will get swapped onto a '73-'80 style truck instead.

Part of me thinks that the straight across tube bumper and big square brush guard looks goofy with the '81-'87 nose and would look more appropriate on the older square nose. Then another part of me thinks it looks fine as it is.

to me the warn bumper looks kinda weird on that style. I like the warn bumper better, but not on that red truck. Maybe better on another one?

my vote is for the warn bump on the 82... it looks a lil goofy on the red truck, but I think thats just cause it sticks out so far. If it was tucked back in a few more inches, closer to the body of the rig, it'd look a lot better. Those big round tube ones look out of place on an 80s chevy... lots of straight lines in them rigs, compares to the old school chebbies with their round wheel wells etc etc.

The Warn bumper looked less goofy on the red '83 when the winch and lights were still mounted on it, and with bigger tires.

I think just the angled sides would look better. When I look at the straight across tube bumper on the stepside, it just seems a bit out of place to me. Sure, it does match the rear tube bumper, but I still think that big square brush guard on it would look better with the more square nose of a '73-'80 and the stinger might look ok on the black '82 stepside.
