I thought this might be my 4WD light but its not lighting up at the moment since previous owner did a twin stick shifter and not sure if that circuit still works. There is a bulb is currently installed in the wiper switch and the HVAC so it can't be those and does not come in with lights on. When I looked up schematic it shows the wire colors for the 4WD light to be white, gray, black. Nothing pink. This is on my 79.

I checked that it its already lighting up though the small hole in the metal that luminates the PRND21. This bulb does not come on with lights. Checked the bulb too, and changed it with a new one.

Maybe seatbelt or brake light?
Nope, the seatbelt light and brake light is part of the cluster back plane circuit and those bulbs light up.

After doing some more research, I found it IS the 4WD indicator light. Unfortunately mine is no longer hooked but I found the plug where it plugs into close to the shifter. I jumped plug and it finally lit up the bulb. So this is definitely the 4WD light. My diagram above must be for a different year since it does not show pink. Also verified with the video below since they mention this same light showing the same wire color.

Duh :doah:YOOur right that's one of the first places gm fibre optic light. Totally forgot

I was thinking that my old '79 K30 had it in the bottom of the speedometer or fuel gauge. Can't remember which one..
Is that where yours has a lens for it?

Speaking of fiber light... It has that from the top corner light in the cluster. But I have no idea where that fiber light goes to. I assume it went to the ash tray maybe? its not that long, maybe a over a foot long.
