I have an 87 with a 6" lift on 35's that needs some steering geometry adjustment. It has all stock components now

My mechanic (who is fixing other things) says I need a 2" drop pitman arm.

4wheelparts doesn't have one, they just have the raised steering arms

Where I can find what I think I need, they're asking $120 for it.

Does this seem high? Anyone got a good source for these that might be cheaper? I was expecting to pay about half that much.

Thanks all

Summit Racing has them online. I got mine from Classic Industries. You might be able to find one in the classified section here. Google "chevy drop pitman arm" .

There may be a better correction for this and hopefully they can chime in. I corrected my steering temporarily with a drop drag link and drop pitman, only because I couldn't get my old steering arm off.

you should get a raised steering arm and a drop pitman arm, so your draglink is parallel with the ground...

act slight drop to the back is best.

i tryed to correct with both on 6" lift and it wouldnt steer worth a crap in a parkinglot let alone on the street.

Look on this sites For Sale forums. I see an arm listed every now and then for sale. And cheaper than you can get them from name brand stores.
