im ordering a 12" centerforce 2 clutch this thursday (payday :D) but i dont no what flywheel i should get, i no some can be ****ty and warp, but i was curious if just a normal napa one would work well with this clutch or should i get something a little better?

I do not like Centerforce clutches as they have a history of wearing out the thrust bearing in the engine because of their design. I would go with a Luk gold clutch. As far as which flywheel that will depend on what engine but as far as which brand of flywheel are you looking for something in the aftermarket heavy duty version or just something in the OE version?

ok thanks, ill look into luk clutches,my friends have told me about them and like them, but my engine is a 400hp 350. im just looking for the cheapest flywheel that wont get hurt by my engine (if flywheels can get hurt) i dont no much about flywheels.

What year is the engine? 1955-1985 use a nuetral balance flywheel but 1986-later use an external balanced flywheel. Not to worry about getting the wrong one installed since they will not interchange but just trying to help you avoid buying the wrong one and wasting time.

o ya,sorry i forgot to mention its a crate engine with a later model block, with a one piece rear main if that matters, and thanks for clearing the generations up. i was wondering if there was more then just the 2 different gens. but i guess ill order the externally balanced one. any suggestions to type? i just want the cheapest one that wont get ruined from the power of the engine (if that actually happens) i dont no much about them.

As long as you're sure that the engine is a 1 piece rear main seal engine then this is the cheapest flywheel that summit racing has to offer. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ADD-CF700160/

Well, if you trust a Made in China flywheel it does appear to be the correct one with the counterweight.

I have been running the advance auto brand at $90 with my 12in centerforce dual friction. No problems at since i installed it.
