1986 K30 CC, need a good kit about 4" any suggestions? thinking of Superlift or Skyjacker. The seem to be the only 2 I can find that offers them. Also going to run 33's.

My first lift on my 81 burb was a 6in super lift, and after a year the front springs sagged down to 4 in. I got credit from the place I bought it and went with the Skyjacker 8in. all spring lift. It lasted the last 8 yrs. and still hasn't sagged. I just bought another Skyjacker 8in. for my 91 burb.
Tarey

thanks, heard Skyjacker was a little better, did you use springs or blocks for the rear? I know the reqar springs for a one ton are expensive

It comes with a 6in spring and a 2in. block. For my 91 burb I bought a 3in. rear block so the rear would sit a litle higher and not have that sag look. A place called Truckaddons.com has the best price and they usually have free shipping. Fedex did loose a rear spring but truckaddons sent out another one in a couple days

dont forget tuff country has hd springs that are good and beefy. if my my top 3 for ride would be bds/tuff country/skyjacker. for weight holding tuff country/skyjacker/possibly bds.

those are my pics of my top 3 i would run.

oh ya dont run rough country thay are stifffff......

Agreed, don't use Superlift soft rides. They settle too much.

I've used Skyjacker on quiet a few stuff with success. I have 4" front and rear springs on my '85 K30 and they're holding up great.

Try to stay away from rear blocks. Spend the extra money for rear springs one time and be done with it.

i din't think tuff country made springs for 1 tons. would a shackle flip be better then blocks? also would the skyjacker 2.5" lift be worth the money? it's a daily driver the bed is used alot, bushings are shot in the front ,this is the reason for the lift......thanks

I don't know about Tuff Country but when you say they don't make a kit for 1 tons, that means they must not offer u-bolts to fit the 1 ton axles.

The aftermarket lift springs used in 1/2, 3/4 and 1 tons are the same part number depending on the amount of lift and the rear spring length.
There are no "1 ton lift springs" just for a 1 ton. They all share the same springs.
It's only the u-bolts that make the difference with the aftermarket stuff. That and the steering correction parts, too.

You mentioned Tuff Country, you need to simply look for 56" rear springs of your desired lift. If they don't offer any u-bolts for a 1 ton (which I say they do), then you can get them elsewhere.
The 56" rear springs TC will have will fit other variations like the Suburbans and '80 and newer 3/4 ton trucks. All the same part number to fit each other.
