nothing wrong with the brand of kit #3 , just need to get the actual master over haul kit. my friend has used them for years. best bang for the buck. it even was used in my 350 k case. ran it in a 1 ton with built 400 sb and 38" tires. i was recovery boy and she is still going to this day.

also he uses the transgo shift kits. nice feal and great firm short shifts. but wont bang the hell out of the case or you. kit # k34908 is for the 400. i have a new one if you want it. pm me if so.

What makes this kit so good? What makes one kit better than another for that matter?

Kit #1 comes with a new reverse clutch band...the other ones do not.
