Here's my question.... I've got a 70 blazer 4X4 that I have been building for the last two years and would like to know which transmission I should run. I've got a 406 with about 500 ft lbs of torque with a dana 60 rear and 3/4 dana 44 up front. I'll be running 35's with six inches of lift. I've got a turbo 350/205 set up right now but I was contemplating upgrading to a turbo 400. How difficult is it to mate a turbo 400 to a 205? I know this was offered in some factory set ups, but is it just a matter of changing the input shaft on the 205? I guess my question is, is it worth it to try and change or just build up the th350 and hope for the best? I will be doing a lot of off road stuff..mostly rocks and dirt and some towing. Any ideas....

I would go with the 400 yes it will cost a little to get it in but its all about peace of mind the 400 is just stronger

Thanks for the responses.... I guess I'll look for a 400. Does anyone know who makes the adaptor piece for a th400 to an existing 205?
