Which way does the 208 oil slinger go on??

So I pulled apart the 208 to seal it up. So after I got it all sealed up I forogt to put in the slinger ring Know I forgot how it goes in. Does it go below the tailhousing or the half of the case??

are you talking about the black ring about 6" in diameter or so? If you are, it only goes on one way. There are notches cut into the tail shaft housing that it fits into. It goes between the tail housing and the case itself.

Thats what I thought but this one has nothing, its just round on the inside. Im just going to pull my current 208 and see how it goes on.

The tabs that fit into the notches are on the outside of the ring. Hope that helps out a little more.
