Which weighs more? CrewCAB or blazer TUB

With or without doors on the crew cab? That makes a huge difference right there, but I still think the Blazer tub is going to be heavier.

Doors on the cab. The blazer top would be on/off sometimes.
Trying to decide between putting my '88 blazer drivetrain and one tons in my '74 blazer or '80 crewcab. The bonehead that had the blazer before chopped the dash all out though and I'd prefer to keep a stock dash for simplicity, already have all the gauges etc. still working in the the firewall/dash = all that's left on the '88 rolling chassis. Will that junk fit in the '80? Need to compare and see if they're the same.

Visibility to the rear would prolly be pretty impaired with the crew, huh?

I would do the k5 as it already has a cage.

The cage is kinda craptastic though. Amateur built it, not tied to the frame, etc. One nice thing is I guess it was supposed to be a race truck so they tubbed the firewall for long travel, so it would fit my 44" tires better...my '88 firewall with all the stuff in it was "tubbed" with a sledge hammer. :D

blazer, a cage tied to the frame is not always called for, to each his own though

iI would add on to it and beef it when and where you can, its a nice start.
