So i've got a line on a pretty sweet 87 3/4 burb. Owner thought big trans prblems and yanked the 400 out . Trans is fine other than a plugged vent, thus why it puked fluid out of the dipstick tube.

I will be picking it up in the next few weeks and putting the trans back together. A friend of a friend is a tranny parts hoarder ,and has several sets of straight cut planets that would be nice to put in seeing as this burb will be a Blazer tow machine when done.

Now can the straight cut planets play hell on knock sensors the was noisy gear drives do? Shoud i just leave it the hell alone?:dunno:

If I was a betting man i'd say the knock sensor would pick up the noise.
