whining noise???

tonight on my way home from work i notice a whining/whistling type noise that got louder when you accelerated and when u come to a stop and continues to do it while idleing

any ideas...

turn up your stereo or get bias tires



probly carb air intake or not sealing right or belt loose... stick your head in the engine compartment while its running then start putting your hand on things to seal

flip the air lid back over to stock .

If its the 89-91? K5 in your av you are talking about. Check the Throttle body base gasket. They leak and make a nice whistle when they go bad. Also can cause some idle issues.
Vaccume leaks? Check all your vaccum lines ect

that might be it because i do have some idle issues...i will check that out and the vaccum lines
