Whipple'd silverado

I don't know if the vehicles they put them in have oil pressure gauges or not, but if you drop a mechanical gauge on em once warm, the psi is stoopid low... not just one motor, but every one we see.. often in pairs...

I'm not comfortable with gas V-8's idling at 6 or 7 psi of oil pressure..

I've driven a few of them, in SUV's and my dad's Corvette. They have all had decent oil pressure even when warm, and the cold start piston slap hasn't been any louder than any other LS motor. I don't know what the difference would be in the passenger vehicle version of the motor.

Ryoken, that's cool, just making sure. I don't know why I would assume therewould be a bbunch of diesel 6.2s out there. Just strange to hear of such a consistent problem with them when you basically never hear any problem from them elsewhere. Certainly not doubting you! It's good to know really.
