White letter tires vs. Blackwall

Nope, you're not alone. I despise white letters out, and have done the same to friends getting new tires...Blackwall out dude!!!!

Personally I think it has to do with vehicle look, stance and size of the sidewall on the tire. Those low profile tires, yeah sure blackwall out, if the tire is alittle taller and on a sportier type ride, maybe white letters out. WHITEWALLS??? never anymore, had a few the parents had whitewalls out when growing up and it really just didn't look right.

Big bubbly off road tires like swampers, yeah again, black walls out. I personally think it's a total package look on deciding on one or the other.

I don't think the letters out on some stockish trucks look too bad though.

I've noticed a pattern...tires and shoes....I like plain black tires....I wear plain brown shoes....I like plain T-Shirts...nothing with logos...hmmmmmm

Oh yeah, I forgot...plain black rifles and pistols....

Oddly enough, it's a crime in Amity to run whitewalls....a misdemeanor and a $100 fine the first time...second time I catch you...I'll cuff you, not too faa' from the caa' and toss you in the drink...I think everybody knows what lurks in these waters... Last stranger that came through got tied to a stern cleat...

i like white letters on muscle cars. chrome cragars and the white letters just look right to me.

on trucks though i prefer black.

White letters and Cragers NEVER looked right....on anything!

Tire shop in Pueblo mounted tires on my jeep white out after I told them black out, they fixed it before I left!!!
