All I have is 3 pickups.1979 C10 2wd--1974 GMC K20 4x4--1982 GMC K20 4x4 Stepside,and a Chevy van.I've always had GM cars and trucks--since I sometimes work at my friends shop,I have a love/hate relationship with fords--I love em because they are always brokedown,and that means work and cash! /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif,and I hate em because they are a royal ballbuster to fix,parts are somtimes hard to get--many are dealer items(I waited 3 days for a seal for an explorer last week!)and ford seems to have miles of wiring and vaccum hoses that seem unnessasary compared to others.Also have noticed very poor quality in fords cylinder heads(especially 460's,there made of some kind of powdered iron that cant be drilled or tapped when the manifold bolts snap--and they ALWAYS snap! /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif)and the engineers just dont seem to be thinking when serviceability is a factor--GM's are much easier as a rule to work on,and you spend a lot less time working on them than the fords in my opinion. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
