I'm not happy with my current spring location, and I am curious how others have theirs set up. I'm using Kerts brackets and his FUSH kit with the springs all the way forward, the shackle hanger moved and 6" shackles. This setup flexes great but also gives me too much lateral (side to side) movement of the axle and kills bushings rather quickly. I am set up this way due to the frame of the 30's, dropping down right behind the springs.

Also can anyone confirm that M1009 K5 52's (4+1) packs had a higher rate then a 52" pack from a 90-91 K5 (4+1) ? Or does anyone know for sure what the spring rate was for the big bushing late model 52's?

Thanks in advance :waytogo:

I don't have much to offer in the way of tech, but I do hope that I don't have this problem anymore now that I have installed full hydro steer. I didn't like the way my axle would move side to side when turning

The side to side movement is the reason I got rid of my 52's and put a 6" lift back on the front of my blazer.

I thought about adding a panhard bar, but I already had the lift springs , and my blazer see's more on road use now then off road use...

My 52's flex side to side alot more than I would like as well. After seeing how simple and effective 4" lift springs are thats what I'm doing on my next build.

If the rig is nothing but a toy or off road only, wouldn't a PHB benefit it to prevent the side to side movement?

That's what I was thinking. In my case, I hope the full hydro will solve the issue since I am running out of room up front to start trying to mount a panhard bar
