who else has slow-ass wipers

Lube the joints and check for wear and binding. Mine did that until they were lubed.

All of mine work well.
Factory, new, lubed....they suck.
I lubed the $hit out of mine, which helped, replaced the motor, checked grounds, and am living wiht slightly better wipers.

Seriously, the slow wipers and windows (even when freshly lubed) are about the worst things on my truck that really make it feel old. Wish there was a good way to improve them.....pretty sure the motor gear setup is just not designed for speed though.
my plow truck hasnt had a working set in 3 years.

You can adapt the 88+ wiper pumps to our trucks, makes them boogey!

I have done the headlight relay mod, but am afraid to do it to the windows. I burn out low beam bulbs every couple of months, and they are expensive, but easy to replace. Window motors are expensive and a PAIN to replace. Not worth the risk to me, id rather just lube them frequently.
And really, with fresh lube, they aren't too bad. Too bad the wipers are still super slow.

What is involved in this swap?
I've swapped both 88+ and 80's styles in their respective trucks, but so far apart time wise i forget what is involved.
Is it a bolt in deal, or how much custimization is necessary? Wiring?
i just want to make sure im gettin this right-
is he talking about the ck series pick ups[the rounded ones-88 and up ] is he saying that they are faster [meaning working like they should!] if so -im definately interested in that mod!!!
