I've searched and searched, to no avail. I even went through all my subscribed threads from the last year, cause I was sure I had made a post in that thread. I never found it, so I guess I didn't post in it afterall.

Anyway, somebody did a real nice home made engine crossmember, and had a bunch of nice pics of it and everything. They used square tube and angle iron to make it. I'm thinking that it may have been painted silver too, but I'm not sure. Ring any bells?

I remember thinking "That's the one I'm going to copy when the time comes." Well it's that time, and now I can't find it. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Yeah, I just went through the whole 20 pages, looks like he still has the stock crossmember. I didn't remember the truck having camo everywhere anyway.

Anyone else?:(

Im thinking esteban86k5 built a custom built one. I know its custom but not sure if he built it or who did.

Here's esteban's gallery and the final product.

I've seen that one, and it's nice, but it looks like he chopped up a big piece of rectangular tube, so it's not the one I was thinking of. I'm thinking of one that had square tube that was v-notched and bent.

MO-Offroad made one that was like I beam type material, it was cut and bent and rewelded I believe.

I remember the MOO one, but they're out of business. The one I'm thinking of was made by just a regular CK5 member too. I'm starting to think that the thread doesn't exist anymore. I didn't think it would be so hard to find.:doah:

i think your the one i was thinking of! When i saw your name in the reply, it made a little light bulb go off, lol

I remember that one afroman. That was a really nice SAS project you had there. A lot of good work into that one. I'd really like to find the that MEK posted though.

Well to post a link you can just right click on an existing link, then click "copy shortcut". I clicked on the little "#5" in this post, which allows you to link a post instead of the entire thread. Then just paste it into your reply.

The more I think about it, that might not be the crossmember I was thinking about. It's at least not the thread I was thinking about. Maybe there's another thread somewhere talking about the same crossmember. There was one somewhere that actually had pics of the build, showing the v-notches cut and everything. Dcubb also only has 30 posts, I was thinking it was built by someone who was a little more of a regular.

I've looked for it and cant find it either. I do remember the one you are thinking about. I thought he said he used 1x2 rect tube or something and some angle to build it. I saw it that one time and then it was gone.
