I am thinking of ordering one for my front Dana 60 with 35 spline axles. Will it be a pain trying to turn in 4-wheel drive...I have heard good and bad. I like it for the price and ease of installation. The axle isn't under the truck yet, so I am trying to make a decision before I out it all back together. Thanks in advance.

I had one in my 44 when I ran 35's. yes it will cut down on your turning ability. but it will also allow you to go places you could not before. so buy a winch. :D

Turning isn't that bad with a well cared for power steering system , but you will still undoubtedly learn to use 2wd more often on the trail between obstacles , and occasionally have your spotter unlock your hub while you are turning on an obstacle .

IVe got it in the rear of my 10bolt. Been in there for a couple years, no issues. works well. But I do light wheeling

That settles it, I'm going to order one up tomorrow. I found one for $305 online with free shipping, hope it doesn't take too long to get here!

I put one in a 10 bolt rear once. Wasn't too bad to install but took maybe about less than an hour of taking my time.

Best damn thing I did to that truck.

Who's got 'em?Every other guy here.
Turning is a bit harder, but not as bad as I had been lead to believe.Plenty strong in a D60,for most of us.Easy to install. It's all good!

I have had one for several years in the front 60 on my K5. Before the Lock-Right I had a limited slip in the front and really did not notice much difference in turning ability, though the capability went up dramatically.

I have never felt the need to unlock one hub on the trail. I have used 2wd a couple of times for turning purposes but only when on an easy section of the trail that just requires some real tight turns. While there is a difference, I don't think the difference is huge in regards to turning ability. If it's a hard enough part of the trail that you can't easily do it in 2wd and therefore have it in 4wd, then I've never had an issue with the front locker. I've seen people with selectable front lockers (ARB's, etc...) try to turning them off on an obstacle that also requires a tight turn, and they just seem to beat on the rig harder to try to make it.
