i need a set of shocks soon. who has seen or gotten the best deal? and is gas or hydro better for ride. its a 1ton 4x4. thanks guys.

After lots of research on here for an effective cheap shock, I went with the DT8000's. They ran about $35 apiece from Summit, and I am very happy with them.

i got my 15" travel ranchos for free. my dad works with and sells monroe shocks which own rancho. haha. the procomps on summit are pretty cheap.

hmm. im running 4" lift rears in the front of mine (9" lift) and then procomp ones from summit, 15" travel $35 a pop
so 1/2ton shocks arent the same as 1ton shocks?

the part # for the rears from 1/2 ton to the 1ton is diffrent. its in the length ad travel distences.

yep spec is 16" closed 26.25" open and 10.25 travel for 1/2 ton rear 4" lift
and spec is 19" closed 32.62 open and 13.62 travel for 1 ton rear 4" lift

I just bought a set of SkyJacker Hydro 7000's (Front and Rear) for my 1-Ton (4" lift) from these people http://www.rockymountainsusp.com/. They where $35 a piece + $12 Shipping for all four shocks.
