Have any of you used newer model ford /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif mirrors on their 1ST Gen.? I so what year and what did you have to do to make them fit? /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif

That would be a great help! /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gifI looked at the mirrors for a 97 but they did not look like the one on your blazer. Now the mirrors off a 95 they look like they would work but in the pictures that I saw there is a little arm or something that is sticking out of the mirror where it mounts to the body. ( If that makes sence ) I did not ask you again because I did not want to be a PITA. Thanks Todd

I have the mirrors from a '95 Bronco on my '72. All you have to do is cut that arm off, and install it with two bolts. I have the chrome accented ones and they look awesome.

I would like to see a picture of the mirror you are talking about. I have Ford mirrors on my Blazer, but Im sure they are older than what you are talking about, here is a pic of mine...

hey brett, those are ford mirrors? do you have any idea what they came off of. those are the same mirrors i have on my 72k but the little ball that keeps them place is worn out. couldn't figure out what they came off of. i like the way they look i just need to find the mirror part, not the brackets.

Yeppers! Those are the ones! And If your really slick, you can get the '96 Bronco mirrors with the turn signals and wire them up! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif [image]thumbs.webshots.com/sym/na1/0/58/33/68505833NPvMWy_th.jpg[/image]

those look nice, wish I would of seen them before I bought new stock ones...

hmm, the ones dysphemism has are neat lookin, but I dont quite see how they would fit on a first gen. We have too many curves on our blazers.

alright, I guess those kind in your link would fit, but that is a different style than what Dyshemism has.

yeah thats my baby in the link. The previous previous owner also installed a gas door on the side, so he might have fabricated the mounts for the mirror. I called the previous owner today but he wasn't home, I'll try to get a hold of him for ya.

yea, I guess it was his, I just looked under the wrong photo album.

Dr.Chan- I bought mirrors like that from a junk yard, and mine too broke when I tried to adjust them, I just bought new ones from JC whitney. I like JC's mirrors better, but the original ford brackets are built better. You can find mirrors on almost any Ford. (Ford Ranger, F150, Ford Van)

Ok I asked the previous owner. He said they are a simple bolt on, and they went in smooth, with some bolts and fasteners.

i got the ford replacement mirrors on my blazer.they were the only ones they sold at the parts store besides just the mirror glass by itself.the have 4 screws that hold the mirror brackets to the body.i had to rebend the brackets to make them work.i think you can see how they look if you click my sig link.
