Who is coming to KOH?

I am taking I-40 across the US and bring my pretty close to Means Dry Lake on my way to San Diego so looks like my arrival in San Diego will be delayed a day or two.

We drew the 33rd qualifying spot so now we know that Tuesday morning we will be watching then doing the LCQ to find out where in the big race we start.

Also found out last night that Robby Gordon will be racing as well as Paul Jr. from PJD will be co driving for someone. Then add in TJ Flores and the sports main fast guys and this year should be an awesome race.

Swing by our garage when your around. We probably will be gone most days and working on vehicles at night. Beer drinking and Bsing always seems to be happenign after pre running all day.

We do have several people coming from ORD as the week progresses so if anyone needs parts we can get them down. All of our Crew will probably be on site by Tuesday AM.

Couple guys in our local club is racing a tj this year "Team Meso", if I wasn't working I'd be there.

I know Eric and Russel are rolling in today, anybody else showing up this week?

We should be rolling in Thursday late afternoon/ early evening.

Kind of still waiting on tires to show up, car is almost ready now but kind of hard to do leave for the race without our tires.

Few little things to get done on tow rigs etc. but we are looking ok.

Cool, talked to Eric a bit today, they had a trailer with a broken spring and another eating tires, they were 20 miles out of Barstow, but shoul be on the lakebed now.

I'll be out Saturday morning.

We were able to purchase a new spring for the toy hauler at some real back water shop in Barstow, CA and got it fixed up right at Dusk. We then filled up (Cali cashiers = snobs!) all the trucks, trailers and gas cans and made our way down. We arrived in a very desolate and deserted hammertown at around 8 or 9pm. We were the second crew to arrive on the lake bed, other than the folks organizing things here.

We are going to need to make a run back into town tomorrow to pick a few things up. My truck needs a set of air helper springs as it has been squatting really hard with the camper and Horton on the trailer on it. I don't want to damage my springs by keeping them compressed for another week and a half. We also need to haul the big trailer in to have an inner dual tire alignment issue sorted out. Destroyed a brand new tire in about 10hrs of driving. The toy hauler that broke a spring also needs a new tire on that axle as well. On top of that, we need more supplies and some goggles for most of us.

Despite plenty of set backs and problems, we have arrived safe and sound. We are hoping to get our camp all set up tomorrow and will be fixing trucks and trailers tomorrow then get straight into doing some pre-running in the KOH rig.

I will be out there tomorrow evening (late) and I'll be there through the following Saturday. I believe we are going to be camped on the ORD spot, providing there is room.

I will be bringing my rig and doing as much wheeling as possible, when I'm not needed on the ORD team.

Damm, I had a great time! Hooked up with Russell, and Eric. Wheeled in Horton! Good times! Wish I could go back this week. I will never miss KOH, this was my first time and had a blast!

So excited to head down Thursday morning. As of now, I should be staying with the Sierra Stompers. I'll be in my sister's red Outback that was recently rearended, should stand out with the rear bumper cover off and Nevada plates lol.

Anyone interested in meeting up? My number is 830-5461. Alaska area code is 907.

Well, we are out of the big race on Friday after breaking our rear axle (shafts, locker or gears, not sure which yet...) on the LCQ.

I am going to try and pull out on Friday, but that may not happen as my truck is pretty much boxed in at the moment. I'm not feeling very well today, but I would be up for more wheeling tomorrow!

Only a few hours away
