did you need rear aftermarket shackles?i have a big space shackles look like a v and before the don't bash a good vender people get fired up, I'm NOT! I just want to make sure its not pilot error(pilot error has happened before). I like ORD, I just want to get my burb done and if I need more parts i'll get them.
thanks for any help

I didn't need aftermarket shackles. My springs are Tuff Country, not from ORD. Is there something different about theirs? I don't understand the rest of your post,so that's all I can offer

I too and confused.

You shouldn't need new shackles with a set of 6" springs. Do you have tough country springs OR ORD custom springs.

Pictures would be helpful as well.

I have 6 inch tuff country from ORD. I didn't have to order new shackles but I did since it had the original ones from 1970 on it. Here are a couple pics of the rear shackle and springs.

im thinking hes talking about the width of the FUSH and the width of the spring bushing. You need spacers at the spring eye to keep the shackles parallel with each other right? im in the same boat with my kids 72

Is it simply that there are wider bushings required in the rear? It took me a few minuted to realize there were ones with different widths.

All I can figure out here is that maybe you have the bushings in the wrong place making the shackle plates not parallel. ORD2196 go in the top and the ORD2043 go in the spring eye. That should make the bushing flush with the end of the sleeve and both top and bottom width should be 3.5". Hope this helps
