Who knows the color of the wire coming from.......

what color is the wire coming from the back of the head light switch that feeds the instrument back lighting. I need to feed the back lights in some rocker switches.

on my 1980 the cluster lights are powered by Gray wires

There should be a spot on the fuse block labeled "LPS" for the dash light feed,so you can add gauges or other items that need power when the light switch is on ,without having to tap into the existing wires..
I used that tap in the fuse block to get power for a stereo dial light and some aftermarket gauge lamps..

LPS, I'll look for it although the print on the fuse block is pretty well worn off.

Here's a picture of an '81 fuse box,should be the same on most square bodies...you can see the LPS receptacle ,its near the middle..
