blue and green light panel lights i used in my diy4x dash build for high beam and turn lights. thay are aluminum body with threaded jamb nut on back side. thay self ground when installed with 1 center pin/screw thread for eyelet wire end for power. also the front side we see unscrews off and can change the bulb out. but the part /top that unscrews has colored lens inside of it to make the color.

bulb # GE 330 0.8watt 14 volts

body aluminum and anidized dark color almost odg green mabye or light black.

center stud/power pin is spring loaded ( sign of quality if you ask me. )

someone here asked me and i think i knew but not sure.

then someone else said possible aircraft panel / switch lights.

does anyone know ? cause i want some more .

thay are from atleast 70's back if you ask me. since my dad had them that long from what i know of. if it helps my dad use to build fire trucks in the 70's so mabye from that area of transportation ? but my dad was a horder/packrat also .

i will remove one and get better pics .

Can't help you here, I had plenty of them back home in the 70's when we bought an old warehouse that used to be an electric shop, they had a bunch of them.
You will not find any now unless someone still has a stock they are still selling.
I had them in all colors and they were directionnal like the blue one or completely open 360.
They used them for electrical pannels for different functions.
I know I have a bunch of them left back there but won't be going for another 3 years at least.:thumb:

Used to use them all the time on electronic panels. Let me see if Digikey or Allied still stocks them.

Sorry folks, I'm crashing. Too much turkey hunting and a long day after today.

They are called relampable or front relampable panel indicators. Just look for them.

Those look similar to some of the instrument lights on the C-130. I'm a C-130 Electrician, I see those damn things all day everyday.

Not sure who makes them I'll look at the cage code and look it up in the Technical Manual. Give me a few days as I won't be going to work till monday.

I was about to suggest they look military

We used those on switch panels on GMC transit coaches. I may still have a couple of them laying around I'll see if I can get some more info. The bulbs for those are a 330.
