So who makes the best lower rear quarter panel patch? The location between the back of the door and the front of the rear tire.

I think 95% of all the aftermarket patch panels come from a overseas source and just get different labels slapped on them..when I sold them at parts stores we used to get Fitwell,Keystone, and a few other brands and they all looked the same quality to me..

One old brand we had some left in stock from decades ago were made by the "Schott" panel company out of Ohio, those were heavy gauge, twice the thickness of the other tiwan stuff..not sure if they are still around..

Another place called Mill Supply in Ohio had some decent ones too..

Another company out of CT I see selling repair panels at the racetrack swap meets there "Autobody Specialties" has some better looking ones and they also seem to have more available than other brands..here's a link..(It goes right to "door bottoms, but you can click on the rest of the catalog from there )..

Be careful. Many of the sources don't include the small lip around the edge of the rear wheel well. I'll have to go back and check where I got mine, but I think gmc-Paul's had the correct one with a lip.

Got my bedfloor from them, and I heard a rumor that they supply parts to many of the smaller resellers.... Who just slap their own sticker on it.

@Greg72 I didn't see the part I'm after? Why do a lot of these classic truck part sites look like they were designed back in 1995, really hard to find stuff.

I know.... It's a real struggle. I occasionally use a message forum that only supports 20 posts-per-page.... Some sites are really stuck in the past.

Wow

I remain hopeful... You'd mentioned several months ago that there might be a software update in Sept that would add the 100PPP option to this new forum software.... :deal:

OUCH! I feel your pain having to click on the number at the bottom every 20 posts. Real world problems.

For a guy a neurotic as me.... This is the kind of stuff that I obsess about.

It's embarrassing.

GMCPAULS or Classic heartbeat with Wes have been the top repo panels for our rigs that I've came across. LMC panels, or at least most of them are different and suck.

I cleaned out my shed this weekend that had all of the stuff from the tear down and rebuild of my rig. I was amazed at how many different panels I bought first from LMC and then again from either of the two I posted that actually ended up in my rig. I betcha there is 6-700 dollars worth of crap panels I moved and will never use.

GMC Pauls advertises 19 gage... the panel I have that the PO threw in with the Blazer is 23 gage so I will not be using that one.

Just really look for the lip on the panel if it's getting into the wheel well area. 50% of that crap I was talking about has no lip.
