I would like to replace the springs and shocks on a stock k5. I'm not sure about a lift. I do not want to do any modifications other then replacing the shocks and springs. Can I get away with a 2in or should I go with new stock? I run 31s
Whats wrong with your stock springs? Sagging? Bent?
Just get some rancho shocks and throw on there.. no need to get the best shocks, if you want to keep it somewhat stock, and you arent going to wheel it much. If you want to get a little fancy, get the adjustable ones... RS9000's or whatever they are.
cant help ya on the springs, as ive never run a 2 inch spring before... just the normal 52 front 56 rear. Had some 8 inch superlifts when i was 19.. then i got smart..
Deaver and Alcan seem to be popular for high dollar leaf springs
I recommend Tuff Country springs. Get the EZ Ride if you don't have a winch, HD if you do. I have Trail Master SSV twin tube shocks on my truck (got them on sale) and they ride good. I've heard good things about Bilstien 5100 and 5150 shocks. The 5150s have remote resevoirs.
