If so how do you like it and what changes did you have to do to drop it in your trucks? I have heard of changing the spring perches but not sure.

Let me know.......

Spring perches and shock mounts both will need to be relocated. You may also have to modify your e-brake cables to work. The spring perches are easy because you don't have to remove the old ones unless you just want too. On the van width axle, the perches are much wider than a K5. All you have to do is get some new perches ($8 pair at your local trailer supply store) and weld them on in the right spot. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Agreed, all I had to do was move the perches and shock mounts. I'm running rear disc so the e-brake cables weren't an issue for me.

What is the difference witht he e-brake cables in it? I am not at all familiar with the way a van is set up.

If you are putting the van width in your `79 Blazer and the rear ebrake is a factory setup, you won't have any issues as the G30 vans would have the same setup. I believe it was in `84 or `85 that GM changed the e-brake style to a single cable down the drivers side with the passenger side brake cable meeting the drivers side at the rear axle. The old style is a single cable down half of the vehicle that splits to both sides before it gets to the rear axle and pulling cables that comes off each wheel on its repective side. Does that make sence? /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

My understanding is that the SRW 14bff is 67.5 inches wide WMS to WMS and that the Van is 70 inches. Can anyone running a Van one confirm this, and what is the axle tube diameter?
