Who sells the best manual hubs at a reasonable price?

I've got to convert my 1991 to manual hubs. Which ones are the best (why are they the best) and who's got the cheapest price?

Well, to me they are all about the same as far as who is the best. But Warn has got a reputable name so I bought theirs. I got the premiums at Advance auto parts for 69.99 I think. Its been a while. They were very easy to install as well.

Will work for beer, parts and tools.

Mile Marker or Warn. I've heard bad stories about the Superwinch models. I've run both Warn and Milemarker. Both seem the same.

I have run Milemarker for 2 1/2 years with no problems. I had a set of Superwinch hubs that I Broke both of them in a month because of my detroit up front.

I am running Warns (not premiums) that I picked up at O'Reilly's about a week ago, with tax it was $72, w/o something like $64? They had to special order them, but they have Mile Markers in stock.

I got the Warn Premiums a few years ago and they are fine. I do think the honey-cone spring that pushes the gears in are kinda lame though. I had one get hung up on me and didn't lock in because of the grease got hard and the spider gears were probably going crazy, but I got home and cleaned it up and put some lithium grease on everything and haven't had any problems lately.

I have the Mile Marker Stainless steel premiums or whatever they are called. They cost pretty much the same as Warn Prems... I think either is a good choice, but seems like every once and while I hear of a minor problem w/ the warns... They fit too tight or are hard to install... but once they are in I have never heard of either breaking w/out some serious abuse. BTW the Mile Markers went in slicker then a wet willy. Took all of about 15 minutes.

I've been running a set of warn premiums on my 3/4T D44 and a big block for 15 years. No problems!!! Cost??? Too long ago, but you gets what ya pays for.

I've got the auto locking hubs now. And I think I'll be putting manuals in this summer. How hard is it to install these? I'll be going with either MM or Warn. And I've got a 10bolt front.

Don't know about changing out the auto hubs. It should be the same as the manuals. You pull the six retaining screws from the outer cover on the hub, remove the two retaining clips from the inside and put the new parts in. It is very easy to do. Just make sure to use a good grease in the hub assembley.

Well i would go with warns just because they have a liftime warranty. You granad one they give you another.
