i do, love the diesel in the rocks and on the trail, but getting there.... i started towing my k5 to the trail after the first couple times driving up the steep hills to get to the wheelin spots.

We just started cutting a trail through the back woods off of the back yard and took my stock M1008 CUCV out for kicks. It's the first time I've had it on a trail and it was a very smooth setup. It never spun a tire and it kitty cat purred up the obstacles. The longbed made corners interesting but the diesel was great. The only thing I would be concerned about would be the extra weight.

I loved wheeling the M1008, it did need bigger tires due to the long wheel base. It did great in Moab, the only thing I would have changed was to make a flat bed and put 42's on it....I would have kept it, but I wanted to be able to seat the whole family.
