OK who gets out and gets dirty , damaged , muddy , trail ride , showing , or just climb up curbs and polish chrome :D

I have this little island about a half mile from my house and I tear that sumbitch up about twice a year. Ya that's right you heard me, 2x a year.

I don't think my rig could make it to the mall.:haha:

When I was sleeping in my truck from Oct 2005 to June 2006, I wheeled every morning before going to work. Then wheel again when I get off work!
Mostly wheeled at Sycamore or Saquaro Lake area (in the Rolls, the coves, sometimes Four Peaks if I had plenty of gas). Most of my Blazer's breakage happened at Sycamore...
Ahhh good times... Thinking about doing it again

If you don't mind me asking, why were you sleeping in your truck?

I am lucky enough to be stationed in the middle of ORV heaven. Namely the Indian Wells Valley. Everything around here is public land so if you see something you want to drive on you just do it. There must be 10k miles of trails around here easy.

I had the idea of saving money for a couple of months for a down payment towards a house... now the market has skyrocketed, I just stopped and got a roommate instead.

I'd do it again if my roommate sells her house and moves to Colorado. I miss being out there in the desert. I'm just not the kind of guy who's okay with spending a thousand on rent or pissing away $250K or more on a nice house on a small lot.

I get out when I can. Just back from a 2000 mile road/wheelin' trip and am hungry for more!!!!

You're missing a category, Pauly.:deal:

Some of us take our trucks offroad on a regular basis, and I know for a fact it's not what you would consider "wheeling". My K5 sees plenty of time off the pavement, but I very rarely need to be in 1st gear and 4-Lo to get where I'm going. That kind of use doesn't fit in anywhere in your poll........

And what about those of us who own K5s because of the bad road conditions we encounter up to 6 months of the year? I count on my truck to safely get my family from point A to point B several times a year when the weather and roads are anywhere from bad to virtually impassable.

Thats a good argument, Can, but I would not consider wheelin anything that doesnt involve 4 LO, 1st gear, mud up to the rockers, rocks into the rockers, or hills that make a carb go :eek1:.

So, I personally go wheelin at least twice a month, and its the only reason I bought my K5. (cept to throw money at it) :doah:

I need to vote twice......One for 6+ a year and one for the beer and pig-pen.

One thing cool about living in Boise, ID; I'm ten minutes from the mountains and vast wilderness.

Right up the street from where I work is a fire road where I can enter and drive over 300 miles and see concrete only once (crossing Highway 20 by Lowman) :D :eek1: !
Being a former cityslicker that's a big deal to me.

I don't have a picture right now, but my lic. plate reads "ROAD NOT".
I clean it before a trip (sort of) so I can tell whats been modified, when I get home.
