With all the technology that people carry around these days, I'm wondering when we'll see our first "live" or nearly live update to this forum from someone who is actually wheeling in Moab this year!! :popcorn:

I'm not expecting a windshield-mounted live web cam feed of Hell's Revenge (though it would be nice)... but somebody is bound to log in to CK5 while they're waiting for a broken truck to clear the trail, or in the evening while sitting around the campfire.

Which CK5'er will post the first images??

:dunno::whistle:

I have some video of the "flop" but probably post that when I get back home.

I just post up some photos on the Blazer Bash Facebook page. I'll get some posted up here soon, but I need to get a shower and go to bed. 11hrs on the Trifecta is a long day. Although I hear some are having an even longer day... :doah:

Yep, flopped it on its side. Tried to drive out of it and almost had it. Flopped it again. Some minor sheet metal damage.

Man you had a rough weekend. Nobody deserves to come that far and fight issues like you had to, then cap things off with a rollover in a newly built rig brings the big suck.:frown1:

Hope the travels back home are smoother for you.

I have to say the motor in Kurts truck is scary awesome. I could feel it coming behind me even before I could hear or see it. Kinda like the feeling you get during a movie where you know something scary is going to happen and you jut waiting for it to happen. Pretty cool feeling!

When I flopped it we were dinking around on the obstacle that I believe is called the "wedgy." I believe it was my fourth pass on the obstacle. Doing some "fun salvaging" wheeling and new quite well it could happen. Some sheetmetal damage was all that happened. No real loss. We were trying some different lines and seeing how much things could get twisted up.

I'm glad we made the decision to cancel on the rest of the trail and wheel back out before things got worse.

Ya know, after this weekend, I'm a firm believer if you are only going to go rock crawling, you can build too much horsepower. It's a little bit of a handful at times which I hope will get better as we get the tune right on the injection. I think there's another 50 horse in there trying to get out. Now just getting them to all pull together and work for me is the next step. It's certainly fun to drive though.

No doubt...!

I guess it really depends on the type of wheelin' you do, but I learned long ago that for the AZ rocks, a smooth - stock idling FI motor is worth it's weight in gold! Low gears and a stock motor keep things under control.

Now... this is not to say that I don't salivate when a lot of power is on tap - cuz I do! Especially for Sand and Dezert style off roading.

Kert, Your Cad500 sounds amazing..! and the truck really has it goin' on..!
