Having moved From North Eastern Minnesota to Southern New Mexcio and now to Alaska and seeing the various "cancer" rates ( Minnesota has the worst by far that I've seen) I was thinking off a picture thread of your ugliest nastiest rust you've seen on a GM

heres my first k5. this thing was so bad. the body was split in half laying on the frame. had to eventually weld bars to the floor to the walls to keep them from moving around separately you can see one of the bars in the second pic. there was 8 total. driver side floor was rotted all the way to the trans hump. someone laid down a big iron plate :p:

heres the passenger side. someone went to get in and bent the whole floor down like a foot. this was my fix before i had a welder

Here is mine when I got it, the floor was held up by a cinder block in one rocker box and a 4x6 in the other, the seat was held down with dry wall screws... impressive for a CA truck

I don't have any pics, but my 77 K20 looked like that when before I replaced the cab.

My first truck, an 83 C10 had a street sign for a drivers side floor. It felt real solid and the rocker was still there so I thought it wasn't too bad. The first time I crawled under it I saw "Speed Limit 55."

the arrow is pointing to a golf ball stuck in the mud in the gas filler neck. i had to cal an unplayable lie:wink1:

I hope you guys all have your Tetnus shots !! keep them coming this is making me feel better about fixing my rust
 
i really have got to fix mine...ill have to take pics and play along...although its not that bad!!!
 
Wow, i wish i had pics to add of my 91 California truck. I think the worst of my rust is on my cheap $hit chinese lug nuts. :)
 
Every time I see someone fixing that much rust, I think, WOW, screw that-time for a new body.

And then I remember 99% of them look like that out there.
 
Rust repair is dedication. I would NEVER have the patience to have to repair any body damage.

An old one, but there was very little metal holding that box together. I think the tailgate is pretty sweet too.
