i had a 78 blazer that had a 4" superlift, new interior plus tons of accesories. but i sold that to someone who was willing to pay the price i asked. i have bought another 78, and am starting from scratch again. it has 33" BFG ATs and a 4" skyjacker is on the way, rancho shock hoop (free from a friend), rancho 9012s, the remote dual controller....etc, and it is, and will continue to be a daily driver. so far, put on 33" BFG ATs ...again, i just got it out of the paint shop. i hacked the fenders the front fenders and rewelded the lip so it looks stock, and many other toys. all planned for december.

Just guessing !

I would have to just guess at it !! When I had the 44" Boggers I checked it and got <font color=red>7.9 MPG <font color=black>on the highway at <font color=red>60 to 70 MPH<font color=black>. With the 38's I know it is better, but not by much, I would put the MPG in the range from 7 to 10 MPG depending on driving conditions and my foot!!

OK... right now my 85 is a daily "project", i work on it a little each day. My goal to have it on the road is the 30th.

then it will be a daily driver. 305/700r4/208/10 bolts front and back. 99,000 original miles.

future plans include a six inch lift(shackle flip rear w/2inch springs) 36x14.5 swamper radials
12 bolt rear w/full floater kit.
and then if i havent wasted enough money yet, i want to build a fuel injected 383 for the truck. But im doing this all at the same time im paying for school and gas and social life. oh boy....

Mine is drove on nice days (need to put A\C back in still). '78 K-5 with a '87 body on it, 4" lift. 5- 35x12.5 Big O Big foot, Custom front and rear tube bumpers with spare tire carrier (in the prosses of making nurfs conected to cab rollcage ). Built 350 with RV cam, Rebuilt tranny, transfer case and Drive shafts. 4.56 gears. Body modes are cut fenders front and rear, changing to '91 grill, and want a cal. inducted hood. Just need to get some new seats (want some out of a Taho) and new exhaust.

Mine's a 89 K5 silverado with all the whistles and bells. Dual factory shocks,custom HD springs, tow package,engine oil cooler, trans cooler,
posi,10.50 31s on factory ralley wheels.700r4, 350cid with headers
flowmaster,fast chip,K&N, tbi spacer, and ign mods.
I built this thing to get good gas milage. It also has a front air dam and running boards Gets around 18 mpg on the freeway at 65 mph. Takes me about 20 minutes to take off the air dam and running boards when I want to go 4 wheeling.
Dont be fooled, this rig is very good off road also.

I have a 91 with 33's, 123000 miles, 3" exhaust from cat back, and everything was great until today..... STUID TRANI!!!!!!!

1985 K5 Daily driver= To school every day, 150 miles home very weekend and everywhere in between.

New 350, stock tranny, axles, t case, 15x10 bullet hole rims, 31's, Dynomax headers, taylor wires and cap, dual flowmasters, k&n, $1000s in stereo (mostly Soundstream and Sony) Wilderness Roof Rack with lights front and rear, hi lift on rack, CB, Viper Alarm, Wrap around brush guard with lights, Skyler soft top and lots of rooomping.

79 cheyenne...i live in Jonesboro, and Bone85...i go to Athens on Tues., and Thursdays for class...last semester at UGA!...we should get together and check out the k5's.
