i am debating between an atlas 5.0 for $2636 with the adapter, or a stak 3spd for $2775 with no adapter, but delivery. the atlas i could pick up so there is no delivery charge. my only concern is that i dont know enough about the stak4x4 box. i dont know anyone who has one to ask questions, so here it is?? has anyone experienced any problems either during install or after the fact? i am leaning toward the stak box just because it looks like a good product with an extra speed over the atlas for only a couple hundred more. if you have one, what tranny are you using and did you need the adapter? the other thing that concerns me is that nobody can tell me if i need the adapter or not? i have a th400, with the atlas i need the adapter, but with the stak4x4 box, i may need the adapter and an output shaft on the tranny. nobody seems to know what i will need... that is the only reason i am second guessing the stak4x4 box.... noone seems to know what i need.. any advice?

i had one before too, nice unit, kinda cool that they are only about an hour or so away.... road trip. new question... atlas 5.0 or 6.0? same price, 6 may be a little on the overkill side

I'd much rather have the Stak. It comes with the big outputs standard, it has bigger/beefier parts, it has 3 speeds for more versatility etc. Its pretty much the ultimate t-case from everything I have read about it.

I would get the stack it is a bigger unit all the way around atlas is plenty strong but I have seen them side by side(guts too) and if the stak is even close to the quality of the atlas it will be stronger

they make a 32 spline input now.. so does anyone have one that they use?

Um shouldnt your CUCV already have a 32 spline th400 and round pattern 208?

Wouldn't the stak or atlas bolt right up?

thats what i have been telling both advance and stak, but neither seems to know their own product well enough to tell me. i would think they would both bolt up since the splines are the same and the bolt pattern is the same. stak says they use the dana300 bolt pattern... well i dont have a dana 300 so no way i can tell.

I should have my Stak 2spd in about a week.

As for a adapter you can use a stock 208/241 adapter all you have to do is waller out one of the holes since its not a perfect 6 bolt pattern like a stak/atlas.

If I was going to spend 3k on a case it would be the new atlas 4 spd coming out soon.

The 2spd will fit my needs just fine, I am also going to install a manual valve bpdy so I can have the stak in low and the tranny in 2nd which will give me good wheel speed when needed:D
