I got some military H1 wheels and would like to run them on dually axles but have some concerns with tire stickout because I drive my rig on the street.

Maine has some of the strictest laws in the nation with lifted trucks and tire stickout will get ya everytime! In the 80s everybody had lifted trucks and the 90s bought some harsh changes in the rule books so you hardly see big trucks anymore.About 2000 I got tired of playn the game of cat and mouse and paying a fine twice for altered suspenion,a dozen warning cards and hour long lectures in the cruiser by the side of the road by an officer with a really short haircut and younger than my own son!

My current set-up has not gotten me in any trouble but I want to go to a bigger tire and lose alittle lift with more fender trimming.

If you have any pictures of H1s on dually axles could you post them, front shots would be great.

Thanks

hummers = 7" bs on the rims. the dana 60 drw hub adds 4" to kick the rim out and clear the caliper. so if you take 4" off the 7" rim that leaves you with a 3" backspace rim. sorry no pics .

Great front shot,is that a GM 60 or Dodge?
I like the 12bolt rims much better than 8s

Both are GM

Thanks Mike
If my math is right by using a Dodge width 60 I could get the front wheels in another inch which might work out.
I have a HP 60 housing in pieces right now,if I assemble it to the Dodge housing dimentions with Dodge inners it should put me about where I`m at now.
