do you know what year the change occurred to the front floor support body mount?
Most changes occurred in 1981 when the frame and front clip changed. I'm not 100% sure if it is the answer to your specific question though.
blazer frame and floor got a big change mid 70's i know and then 80 and down or 81 and up was the body mount style change on all square body setups .
I have a rust free 85 K5 blazer front floor. Would this floor work with a 78 K5?
I know the rear passenger footwell started in 78. Perhaps the body mounts changed then.
I know that some of the body mounts changed in 78 with the footwell change and then 81 got more changes.
I haven't had the time to compare to see when each mount changed.
But I am pretty sure the front floor mounts changed in 81
The front floor mounts did change in the early 80s. With the front mounts changed on the frame 81+ will a 78-80 k5 body still fit on on a 81+ frame?
No, you need to use the body mounts that match the year of the frame.
