Why didnt GM just use million mile odo's from the begining!? "5442 actual miles"

it is possible . . .

but the underside pics prove its not.

its a clean truck but when its missing the dust cover on the bellhousing and oil leaks on a painted tranny that never left the factory painted those 2 are a big turn off on true miles B/S . then 5k miles would not have oil buildup on tcase like that. and i dont ever recall a gm frame / axles silver from the facory.

and its a true early k30 note the 3" lift block / bump stop ear setup in the rear . gm didnthave true 4wd hangers for the k30 yet for the rear springs front hanger location. had to make up the diffrence .

and someone used the wrong kind of add a leaf in the front. note the gaps in the springs from reg leaf used in factory tapered leaf pack. this will tear up a set of leafs in reg driving faster than correct add a leaf.

i have a early k30 my self that was like this . :thumb:

Yup, those seats fell apart just like that at 5000 miles...

Seriously. I could see a truck being used by a FD not having very many miles on it at all.

But that thing screams my odometer has turned over.

Would like to see pics of the pedals. I don't think a truck that has just over 5k on it would have a ripped seat either. I have seen a couple survivor type trucks over the years they all had more miles and all were nicer than that one

yup, this dudes full of sh*t... I'd bet the farm it's 105...

what's with all the silver paint on the undercarriage too?

I bought an 11 year old 1992 GMC Typhoon once that was listed with 5500 miles on it. I figured it was a typo or lie, but went to look at it anyway. When I got there it pulled up and looked pretty good. I got inside and it still smelled new. The underside of the hood was spotless. It was in fact, a 5500 mile vehicle.

I bought it on the spot.

This eBay listing, however, is clearly not even REMOTELY close. As a result, I have reported it to eBay as a listing violation.

I e mailed him. He claims the mechanic at the fire department says It's true but that's the only proof he has of mileage. He went on to say that by looking at the under side you would think it only has 5k. But by driving it, you would be sure... Either he is a full blown idiot or a full blown liar.

Oh well... You know what they say about a fool and his money. I just hope the poor sap that buys it does knowing that the miles are wrong.

also just noticed if it was 5k miles it would still have the spicer hubs on it.

but its got 80's style or reg old replacment warn black dial hubs on it.
