Why hard brake lines on 14 bolt? Can I run SS braided or Kevlar lines?

I'm trying to avoid flaring and cutting but the size I need on each end is about 24". The only hard line I can buy that already has flared ends and connectors is 30". I've seen 24" lines for sale online though not hard lines.

Can anyone recommend some lines that I don't have to flare myself? I bought the Chevette rubber lines for the calipers, I'm just figuring out how to plumb the rest.

When I worked at the parts house, the only pre-made hard line available were 8", 20", 30", 40", 50" and 60." Could you use the 20" and longer hoses.

I went with braided stainless. I tried cutting and flaring hard line first, but it didn't work out so good. :doah:

Offroad Design has the kevlar lined, braided stainless steel brakelines to run from the calipers to the t-block.

Just ordered this, the extended drop-line and front lines for a 6" lift (thinking ahead). I just spent more on brake lines than the 14-bolt axle itself!
