Try doing a heater core on a 97 f150 4x4 with the 5.4L in it. I spent 2 days compleatly taking apart the entire dash and the 325 somthing scerws later the heater core was out.

WTF were chevy engineers thinking putting the dist way in the back against the firewall anyway?

[/ QUOTE ]

Simple. They were thinking of us four wheelers. The fan is right up front. If the distributor was there, the fan would throw water all over it when we get into deep water.

Wow,12 hours!Thats almost what AXOD overhauls pay /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I never did envy the A/C and electrical guys jobs but I was impressed with their writing skills on warranty tickets /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

This is a current photograph of the top two Ford engineers.

I was not to thrilled when I had to do it. I do not get flat rate pay. Just salery and I get 40hrs a week no mater what. I had about 15 screws left for my junk pile.

You guys should try changing valve cover gaskets, or injectors or high pressure oil pumps, or fuel filter housings or glow plugs on a 7.3 in a e350 that the seats dont go back all the way cuz its a box van with a wall behind the seat. 18 hours book rate to put a hi pressure pump in a 1996 /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif......................... /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif to bad i get hourly pay.

BTW metric is the work of satan

[/ QUOTE ]

If god wanted us to use the metric system Jesus would have had 10 deciples. (bumper sticker I saw)

fords arent that bad. Of course im talking older ones (like my 82) i thrash my f-150. The springs are dead from hauling 2ton in the bed and i dont know how many times its pulled 3-4tons on a trailer. There are just problems for every car brand...

- They are a pain in the butt to get racked... still.
- 3/4 of the lugs are right, 1/4s left (old heavy Ford truck, might have been a high-boy). Who's ever great idea that was needs to be shot, in the head, twice.
- They make stuff way-to-complicated to remove/install. I don't have a degree in engineering - but com-awn man...
- Allot of the things they do are just plain goofy.

why I love Fords

[/ QUOTE ]
- They pay pretty good
- They aren't Volkswagons (or anyother European motor companny, for that matter)

Cant pull out seats when they have 100lbs of diffrent wires, solinoids, relays, switches, isolaters, radio ect, under them.
