All I want is a half decent small block 5 speed GMT400 to make a work truck out of. You would think I was looking for a unicorn even trying to find a 2500. And christ forget about a stick....

My friend has an 89 K3500 SRW with a 454 and an NV4500 that has been sitting behind his barn for as long as I can remember, His dad parked it because it started missing real bad.

A lot of people like automatics. I have no idea why, but it sure makes finding a decent rig difficult.

cause your looking for it at this time

Yeah I guess snow plow season isnt the best time eh?

Thought I found something half decent about 40mins away but after looking at the pictures closer its a half ton and the guys ad is wrong... My sub $2000 price range is also leaving me out of 3500 territory but its damn near impossible to find a small block 3500 anyway let alone w/ a 5 speed.

Not really sure what way to go. If I dont just buy something Im going to not have a truck for quite some time. If I start putting the tube chassis together into an s10 with a 4.8 it will be at least 6 months and the street truck still needs to be buttoned up.

I don't have any pictures of it, but its seem better days, no rockers, cab corners or floor left, I know It runs like a scalded dog, but you'd have to take my word for it, since it has no clutch.
I doubt he'd be interested in selling it, as it's been one of his parts trucks for his 94 K1500, which just had a blowout with his brand new 17 inch chrome wheels and tires, and destroyed the driver's fender, door and upper A arm.
He started with an old plow truck with a bent frame, he half-assed straightened the frame, got almost all new body panels, built a healthy 355 for it, put a 4L70E in it, killed it, and then put a 4L80E in it. Theres alot more than that, this is the condensed version.
