Squishy thing is the CC servo.

Seconded. That's the cruise control vacuum servo. If you don't use your cruise, pull that bad boy off and make the room you need.

DUH!! Didn't think of this until I was in another post! Try disconnecting the CC linkage at the throttle arm (from the hex stud). If the idle problem goes away, the linkage needs to be lengthened.

Yeah, after thinking about it the other day, I realized it was probably for the CC, once I realized there were vacuum lines going into it. Thanks guys. And it is on the back of the intake, not the firewall like i thought. looks like a paing in the @ss to unbolt that cc servo, it appears that the bracket for the tv and throttle cable are bolted to the servo asl and then onto the intake. I guess I could try spacing the servo and the cable brackets up. I'll probably mess with it again tonight. Oh and I alreadt checked the cc linkage, it has play in it, so its not that. Thanks guys!!

91, I think you would need to space the CC equally, since it's also now pulling the throttle at a different angle. You may end up setting the CC at 60, and having it keep you at 50, or at 70!
