Why is my brake pedal so hard to push?

My brakes work well under normal braking conditions. However, when I really need to stop under heavy braking conditions, I can push the pedal down hard but it feels like I am meeting some resistance. I can only push it down so far and I don't have any more downward movement. The pedal is not down all the way to the floor, but I can't push it any further. My brakes seem to work very good, just curious if this is normal...
Oh, I have a d60 and 14Bolt FFwith caddy discs in the back.

What master cyl bore do you have ?
Sounds to me like it's too big, but in putting those brakes on the truck, if anything, it should be too small. That is assuming it's what came on the truck.

Check the booster vaccuum filter. Mine was clogged and I had the same problems. Checking this filter is the easiest and cheapest place to start. If only I had known this BEFORE I replaced the MC.
