Why The ECMB Fuse In The 1990 Suburban V1500 350V8 Keeps Blowing Out ?

At some point while driving the ECMB(not ECMB 1) Fuse will blow out, which when i change another fuse everything is fine until at some point it happens again
 
Fuses blow due to short circuits,I'd guess a power wire to the ECM is getting pinched to ground,or rubbed through somewhere and it touches ground...maybe the ECM has a poor ground and it causes a voltage spike and blows the fuse ?..

I suppose the ECM itself could be faulty,but I would think once it fried a few fuses,it would be damaged enough not to function again..
But everything I drive had points & condensor,or HEI,and my diesel has no spark problems ever...so I'm not really the best guy to answer your question..
 
I have seen GM cars that had the ECM mounted in the kick panel ,they ran a bunch of ground wires including the ECM one,to the body for several items ,to a common "buss bar" with slip on female wire terminals...which often turned rusty or gangrene over a period of years,leading to an intermittent ground connection..

I do not know where they put the ECM on square bodies,never having owned one with a computer,but it might be set up the same way..
My friend found this to be fairly common on 80's and 90's GM cars,and often the cars had already been to several "good garages" who ended up saying "we cant figure it out--scrap it!"..

He just cut all the wires and put them on a ring type crimp connector and used a self drilling screw to ground them,after grinding the paint off the body where the screw was..

He is good at figuring out weird wiring issues,and more often than not it turns out to be a mouse chewed or chafed wire or one that corroded badly that ended up causing the issue--unfortunately he usually replaces a sensor first--THEN looks for the real problem after that failed to fix it...he has installed quite a few new fuel pumps only to find the new one wont run either--and it turns out to be bad wires or plugs going to it..
