One of my friends older brother has a brand new 07 tacoma 2wd. Well he put a custom lift on it and I think 42 iroks. Havent seen him or got to really ask him about it and my friend she dont know much about her brothers truck but that it looks cool. Well he sent me a picture of it today and asked when I would take him wheeling. It looks alright to me for a mallcrawler but its got to much lift for my taste. Well Here it is.

Its still got the stock rear axle they did change the gears in it, but dont know what, and he cant remeber know:haha:. But he wants me to take him offroading since I just got done lifting mine and got tires.
He goes so now that your done with your truck maybe you can keep up:haha:
. I told him that I would take him but what ever on his truck broke or if he rolled it that it wasnt my problem, but I would help him get home.

Well you might provide the ride home, because any type of trail is going to roll that thing over pretty easy. Not to mention the fact that that thing just doesn't look anywhere near trail ready to me.

Well the stuff he is talking about isnt realy trails, its real noob stuff. Almost like the crap they teach the jeepers at that expensive camp. That they all take their stock heeps to. He wants to go offroading at this old dirt bike track which has a couple good washed out hills and some mud, but I want to watch him do a donut :haha:. The most he will do is watch me do the hill or challenge first and see how bad he cant do it and back out. I just thought it was funny that he thinks his truck is so much better offroad wise than mine.

Dam I maybe an idiot to. I know its a 07 cause he just got it a couple mounths ago. Ive never seen the truck. I though it was a tacoma but my friend said it was a chevy. So I think its a new chevy with flares, but she is a young blonde so I dont know.

And that makes it even more unsafe, 42's with the stock Toyota axles. Even hitting a curb is going to break something. He sounds like my little brother with his Tacoma, always bragging he could go more places than my K5. Too bad out of the two vehicles, my K5 is the only one that is ever going to see any trails.

:doah: Yeah I just got done looking at the rest of the picture and did a search on yahoo to compare them with other trucks. And yes I was wrong and was miss lead. Sorry ill fix it

Take him wheeling...... take a buddy with you......take some video.

Should be a real "eye opener" for the know-it-all guy with more money than grey matter. The first time he gets stuck somewhere simple and realizes that his "mods" are NOT getting the job done should make for a good YouTube clip.

:usaflag:

ps. I can only imagine the car payment (and credit card bill) for a setup like that.

Here you are... I was wondering who you were on 4x4 Country, looks like the nice guys found you first... no one reamed your ass about calling it a GM.:D

What are the specs on your truck Johndeere, let's get a comparison.

Ok 85k5 350tbi/built700r/208/10blots with just rebuilt with 4.10. I had a 2inch lift and 33 on it. With that I still kickied my 2 friends butt who each had jeeps with 4inch lifts and 33. Now I have a 6inch with 36/14.5/15 tls. Havent got to wheel yet cause driveshaft a little to long, but im getting that fixed this weekend.
Here is the best wheeling pics I could find before the lift, easy stuff cause I had to take them myself.

That guy must be totally nutz if he wants to take that thing off road. IMHO it aint even safe for the street.
He ought to leave it in the mall parking lot where it belongs.
I bet he does not have it 6 months before he rolls it.

:doah:

too many pirate-related comments running through my mind...let me be CK5 friendly with some pirate tobasco...:D

1. tell him "David (me) said you bring the homogheyness to the table with your truck."

2. tell him to pit that piece of crap against a CK5 members rig with similar sized tires...here's an example, I'm sure other members can post their trucks as volunteers to tear this kid a new ahole...

*tell him not to worry about it being done, it'll still out perform his junk

3. show him this thread so he might realize how unsafe and gay his truck is.

Wow...I like Taco's...but that one "brings da ghey".

Did he park on top of a mobile jungle gym?

Yeah, I'm 1500 miles away but I can guarantee my 38" tired, straight sheet metaled, little flexing 1 ton can outwheel that thing. I think my Tracker could when it was stock...hell, I know it could have.
