i want to mount my 11.0x16" michelins on some stock wheels. but i want somthing a little wider than the 6.5" ones that are on the crew cab now.
so does anybody know of any trucks that might have wider ones from the factory? i dont know if 7' wide would be worth the effort, but maybe some 7.5" would be better.

Ford steely's are 7" wide, and certain Dodge had 8" aluminum. Both should fit GM's.

Why don't you want to mount them on 6.5" wide wheels? They will fit just fine.

i want to use my stock hubcaps, so the dodge ones are out. i have some ford 16's and they are 6.5" also

i realize that 6.5" will work fine, but i want the tires to "look" wider than they will on the 6.5"s

They're only meant to run on a 7" wide rim. I know a guy with them on 16x8's and the sidewall looks a bit...straight. Not much curve to them.

I have mine on some 2007 GMC 16x6.5(?) steelies and they are fine. Nice round curve to them.
Just about any GM wheel should fit. Widest 16" steel wheel I ever heard of was 6.5" for GM. 7" for the aluminum 2500HD wheels.

Beware the Dodges as the '94+ trucks use a decent bit more backspacing than ours.

I have some 6.75" wide stock steel wheels. (They are 16.5" rims though)
